Personality.

Cieran is by nature a kind person, and acts as such. He believes strongly in people, though less so in himself as he regards himself as lesser. He’s extremely friendly to the point where it seems like a fan meeting their idol with nearly everyone he meets. He’s also a very determined person, once he has set a goal underway he is unlikely to change his mind about it and will want to accomplish it against all odds. He’s notably Catholic though his world’s Catholicism is different from our own. He’s extremely helpful and if he can’t help it is similar to a slight against him as he feels as though he was unworthy of even that. He’s rather self deprecating though mostly internally unless you know him well, while at the same time boosting the ego of others. He’s aware that other people can do horrific things, but he believe strongly in redemption and helping them to become a good person or to reclaim their goodness. He’s also rather self sacrificing, others needs are more important than his own.

Dorchadas is a fantastical world with a Gaelic setting. It has a semi modern setting with many modern conveniences existing, however the world also has more small town vibes with houses close together and businesses in the squares. The world is under attacks by demonic creatures that occasionally spawn out of rifts, attacking people and leaving miasma in their wake which kills crops and can infect people. Hence holy weapons and blessings are extremely valuable in this world. In the semi Catholic religion of this world born vampires and werewolves are generally sacred figures who are stronger, faster, and more capable of handling threats, assisting the weak, and casting blessings to remove miasma. On the other hand turned vampires and werewolves are a crude mockery of the born vampires, being infected by the miasma and undergoing an agonizing transformation leading to them exhibiting traits that we might consider normal to vampires and werewolves of our world, with the werewolves being more savage and animalistic, and the vampires losing their reflections, are unable to enter houses without invitations. The infected also have a poor effect on crops, causing them to slightly wither in their presence. Because of this, while the people did not wish to harm the infected, they did not like their presence, and they normally became front line soldiers against the demonic forces that had cursed them. Cieran is a turned vampire and was turned very young, when he was still a child. As the infection wants an adult host it will manifest but allow the child to age until maturity before halting their aging. Hence Ciaran spent most of his life as a vampire, and while the people of the village treated him kindly, he was well aware he was lesser. He could not even visit someone without standing outside waiting for them to allow it. This produced views in him that persisted and grew stronger with time. He was truly tainted, even the plants began to wilt when he was there. Not like the others. They were simply better than him, despite any flaws they might have. He wished simply to assist them, and so for most of his lengthy adulthood he spent it purging the lands of demons so he could protect others.
